Mr. Death was a mass murderer who killed about 150 people for no apparent reason by just walking up and shooting them. However, he was not too bright and news reporter Gail Blanch and Mystery Man easily lead him into a trap. Gail wrote an article claiming that Mystery Man would capture Mr. Death and described the villain as a "huge, powerfully-built man." Mr. Death felt he must correct Miss Blanch's article, but it was all Mystery Man's plan to lure him out into the open. Interestingly, Mr. Death is called a doctor in the artwork, but is not called one within the text story.
