Origin[]

Mr Kurrency is an anthropomorphic dog and bank teller who first-appeared in Mr Slicker and the Egg Robbers. He only appeared in one strip of the story, helping to setup a gag about Mickey getting a torn dollar bill repaired in a tire repair shop. Mr Slicker and the Egg Robbers is his only known appearance. In 1930, Mr Kurrency was working as a bank teller at a bank presumably located in Mouseton. One of his customers was Mickey Mouse, who deposited his earnings from his miniature golf course in the bank at which Mr Kurrency worked.
