Origin[]
Mr. Rabbit was married to Mrs. Rabbit, with whom he had four children--Peter Rabbit, Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail. Sadly, he passed away at the hands of Mr. McGregor and his wife, Mrs. McGregor, who baked him into a pie.
Mr. Rabbit is mentioned in The Tale of Peter Rabbit, when Mrs. Rabbit reminds her children to stay out of Mr. McGregor's Garden because Mr. Rabbit had an "accident" there. He does not make an actual appearance, as he passed away prior to the tale's events.
