Public Domain Comic Strip Appearances[]
- Thimble Theater comic strip (1919-1929)
Notes[]
- A character mostly seen in the comics, Nana also plays a part in the Fleischer Studios Popeye cartoon The Man on the Flying Trapeze, where her voice is provided by Mae Questel. Nana also appeared in the Popeye and Son episode "Happy Anniversary", in a flashback where she is seen helping Olive get ready for her wedding.
- Nana Oyl's name is a pun based on "Banana Oil," a term that was popularized by Milt Gross' comic strip Banana Oil.
