Origin[]
The Sergeant serves as the Colonel’s companion and reluctant follower. He’s more level-headed and aware of the dangers they face, listing the clever and mischievous things the Indians have done. Despite his efforts to warn the Colonel, he’s repeatedly ignored and forced to go along with the reckless plan. In the end, his loyalty and obedience lead him to share the Colonel’s fate—trapped in the Indians’ rocket and sent to the moon.
