A forgotten second cousin of a wealthy man, Formes secured a position as the butler of his well-to-do relative and, in a bid to access the man's will, dressed up in a robe and called himself the Phantom of Marston Manor and menaced his cousin. He was killed in an altercation with Mr. Scarlet and Pinky.
