Phillip Feltfoot was a detective hired by Ham Gravy to investigate who has threw a knife at him nearly missing him and landing in a tree trunk. The detective takes the case for a fee of twenty dollars and investigates the knife in the tree. Phillip returns to see Ham and tells him he has important information. He tells Ham "Somebody is mad at you." causing Ham Gravy to fall over.
