While exploring the Valley of the Sorcerer, 19th Century Dutch explorer Nicholas van Huyn stumbled across a tomb of an ancient Egyptian queen, containing a sarcophagus and a mummified hand possessing seven fingers, adorned with a ruby ring with seven points that resembled stars.
Queen Tera is alleged to have been a powerful and enigmatic ruler of immense ambition and intellect, known for her mastery of ancient Egyptian magic and occult practices. She was obsessed with attaining immortality and supernatural power. To achieve this, she devised a complex plan involving her mummification and the use of the titular "Jewel of Seven Stars," believed to hold immense mystical energy. Her ultimate goal was to resurrect herself in the future, using the jewel and a series of intricate rituals.
Despite being dead for millennia, Queen Tera's influence extends far beyond her time. Her spirit is believed to inhabit the preserved body of a mummified cat found in her tomb, and she exerts a haunting presence over those who come into contact with her remains. she is depicted as a manipulative force, able to influence the thoughts and actions of the living in the mortal realm, particularly Margaret Trelawny, the daughter of an Egyptologist who bears a striking resemblance to Tera and is seemingly destined to fulfill the queen's resurrection.
