Question

Real Name

Vic Sage

First Appearance

Blue Beetle (1967 series) #1 (1967)

Original Publisher

Charlton

Created by

Steve Ditko

Origin

Vic Sage was heavily influenced by his creator's objectivist views and espoused a firmly objective standard of ethics. In his first appearances, Sage had very little backstory, and was often ruthless in his treatment of criminals.

By day, Vic was a reporter for W.W.B. TV and had a rather large supporting cast, including Nora Lace.

Powers/Abilities

The Question is non-powered but it a fierce fighter. He uses his reporter deduction skills to track down criminals.

The mask (Pseudoderm) and the mist (Bonding Gas) he uses were developed by Dr. Aristotle Rodor and Dr. Twain. Pseudoderm was developed as an artificial skin to be used as a bandage and the gas would bond it to the person. It was found to be toxic on open wounds and was abandoned. Dr. Rodor modified the gas to change the color of Vic Sage's hair and clothing.
