Red-Hot Blaze worked as a special investigator for Headline Comics who would present real crimes to his boss to used as a part of the feature Comi-Crime. Blaze would provide the resolution explaining how the investigators solved the crime after the reader had a chance to put together all the clues and attempt to come up with their own solutions.
Examples of the crime stories Blaze presented included Killers in the Kitchen, Tomorrow's Murder, Roumania's Strangest Killer, The Case of the Floating Corpse, and more.
