Richard Frankenstein, grandson of Victor Frankenstein, returns to the family's ruined castle to continue his ancestors' macabre experiments. His father had attempted to merge Frankenstein's Creature with the Wolf Man, but failed. While investigating the dungeons during a full moon, Richard confronts and kills the werewolf, but is bitten during the fight and inherits the curse, becoming the new incarnation of the monster.
