Origin[]
Rob Joslyn is a young boy and the protagonist of The Master Key by L. Frank Baum. He is an electrical experimenter and parodies the at-the-time-popular "Edisonade" protagonist. One day, he would be visited by the Demon of Electricity. The Demon makes him choose three wishes each week for the next three weeks, but Rob does not know what the ask for, so the Demon chooses for himself. He has adventures using the gifts, but gives them on the third week up as the world is not yet ready for them. Rob has been described as a rude and selfish protagonist, poking fun at the usual unintentional selfishness of other Edisonade characters.
