- Ronald McDonald's first commercial in 1963 had no copyright notice, due to the copyright laws at the time that makes the commercial, and him, public domain.
- The original design for Ronald is much different than the modern version of the character. Only the version from the 1963 commercial is public domain.
- Ronald McDonald is still trademarked so don't try to trick people into thinking McDonalds is involved with your product.
