Sarge Steel was originally a private eye and Vietnam veteran who lost his hand during a fight with drug lords. His left hand was replaced with a new metal one. Many of Sarge's cases involved espionage and he later became secret agent and even the CIA contact for the Sentinels.
Sarge Steel fought enemies such as Werner Von Wess, the Lynx, Smiling Skull, Ivan Chung, and Mr. Ize among others.
