Origin[]

Sir Linit is a knight made out of a can of fabric finish spray, who appears in a puff of smoke and speaks in Shakespearean English. His feet are mini-irons he can use to iron out clothes, and he commands an army of clothing items who cheer when the product is evoked. Once Sir Linit has finished his duty, he transforms into a regular, free spray can for a houseowner to find.

Notes[]

  • Linit Fabric Finish commercials did not have copyright notices
  • Linit is a long-defunct brand, and as such does not have a trademark.
  • The character of Sir Linit bears some striking resemblance to Henson's later creation, Ernie from Sesame Street.
