Snerfs are a race of strange fuzzy creatures resembling a cross between a bird and a tarantula, possessing small spidery legs, a long tube-like extendable neck, and tiny bulbous noses or beaks.
First appearing in a commercial for Ideal Toys, a trio of Snerfs would continually interrupt Ralph the Dog's announcement with their bizarre antics before eventually joining him.
In Muppet Puppet Plays, a green monster is seen talking with a Snerf that is his brother.
