"Jet" Black, Space Ace, was a highly regarded officer of Space Patrol who operated in our solar system, several hundreds years in the future. He was aided by his sidekick Jak Tal, who had a troublesome older sister named Tel Han. Black was a good fighter, and used standard Space Patrol ships and equipment. He always carried a ray gun.
