Origin[]
The Spider Man's past (and even his true name) is a mystery. He's revealed to be a Nazi who came from Germany alongside a dozen other spies.
He arrived to a small industrial town alongside his mechanical spider Herman and started killing anyone he encountered at night to sabotage the town's factory, specifically its war efforts, so people would leave in fear due to the hideous murders and the town's plant would be left without workers.
The wealthy Dianne Grayton, the superheroine known as the Spider Widow, sought to help out his uncle's factory by posing as one of the town's villagers and waiting for the attacker at night. The Spider Man and Herman confronted her and easily defeated her, the former ordering the latter not to crush her so they could bring her to Hitler.
The Raven, another superhero, came to the rescue and while the Spider Widow regained consciousness and apprehended the Spider Man, the Raven flipped Herman. The mechanical spider's acids seeped out of its batteries and destroyed its mechanism.
Later in that night, the FBI rounded up a dozen nazi spies and raided their hideout after the Spider Man confessed everything.
The next morning one worker claimed he heard that the mechanical spider Herman was going to be melted and turned into a bomb and be returned to Hitler.
