Origin[]
Pete Trask is an agent with the U.S. Treasury Department, identified as a T-Man - the sobriquet given to that department's men in the field. It is a nickname that is used extensively throughout the many recorded adventures of this intrepid globe-trotting government man.
Trask is an enigmatic man of excellent physical condition, often depicted without a shirt or with one ripped off, and has extensive experience as an international police officer. He is so adapt at operating in foreign nations that it comes naturally to him, and is completely at ease wherever he is assigned.
Trask is a devoted lady's man, frequently seeking attractive women to assist in assignments or celebrate victories, ensuring a successful case. He even enjoys charming those who are sided with his enemies, but he is not foolish enough to let them harm him, as they often attempt to do when they learn of his deception. Despite his somewhat patronizing behavior, Trask is not as chauvinistic as his words suggest, having been saved many times by his female companions to not underestimate their capabilities.
Trask enjoys traveling but also enjoys his vacations, which often end abruptly. His desire for rest and recreation drives him to solve an offending mystery, allowing him to return to his relaxation.
