Dead or... something else?[]

I originally put this character into the Dead Characters category but... should she maybe be Undead? Or something different entirely?Cebr1979 (talk) 05:44, August 3, 2016 (UTC)

Or is she a ghost?Cebr1979 (talk) 05:46, August 3, 2016 (UTC)

It depends on the parameters of the categories. She is only as undead or ghostly as any natively human character depicted as having a soul that ascends to Heaven post mortem. —ElyaqimNYC (talk) 06:11, August 3, 2016 (UTC)

I know but, it states "she will eventually rise up into the kingdom of God" so with that "eventually" in there... the story technically ends with her in a state of somewhere in between..? Cebr1979 (talk) 06:14, August 3, 2016 (UTC)
Basically, she's in purgatory... does that count as "Dead" or something else?Cebr1979 (talk) 06:15, August 3, 2016 (UTC)
She could be in more than one category, but that may be inferring more about the character than this wiki should. There should maybe be a note about the textual ambiguity, but ultimately new creators should decide her status for themselves.—ElyaqimNYC (talk) 06:23, August 3, 2016 (UTC)
Agreed! Would you like to come up with something for the notes section or should I? I'm totally fine either way! :-) Cebr1979 (talk) 06:35, August 3, 2016 (UTC)
Also, I wonder if that ambiguity is in all the public‐domain English translations (and there is a bunch).  —ElyaqimNYC (talk) 06:30, August 3, 2016 (UTC)
It's definitely not (not that I've read them all, of course, but, I've read enough to know *cough*only two*cough* that it's not).Cebr1979 (talk) 06:35, August 3, 2016 (UTC)
I would prefer you write the ambiguity note, because I have not read any translation in its entirety. 😳  —ElyaqimNYC (talk) 06:46, August 3, 2016 (UTC)
Okay! I'm on a "literary kick" at the moment but, will once that's done!Cebr1979 (talk) 06:50, August 3, 2016 (UTC)
