Paul Trevitt, also known as the Tarantula or the Human Tarantula, and his step-sister Olga Davis, who dissatisfied with their trust fund, turned to robbery and burglary within their social circle. Operating from Florida, they were aided by Templeton Putney and Bob Kruger, who served as butler-valet and chauffeur. Paul, cunning and manipulative, often left misleading clues to implicate others. Eventually, Detective Lee Preston and Lt. Oglivee caught him, resulting in his execution and lengthy prison sentences for his accomplices.
