Thore02

Thore lineups for battle against the BLA with his teammates.

Thore is a godly member of the Marvelous Heroes superhero team. He speaks with a lisp and calls himself "The God Thenthathional" which most likely actually means "The God Sensational".

His teammates included Fumin' Scorch, The Wisp, Great-Big Huge Man, Captain Americuss, Scrap-Iron Man, Mr. Fantabulous, Thang, Hunk, Spider-Dan, and Invisibubble Girl. They fight supervillains such as the Red Skeleton.

The Green Trashcan, self-proclaimed leader of the Bestest League of America, goes to meet with the Marvelous Heroes at their headquarters to discuss the superhero strike. The Marvleous Heroes kick their rival hero out of their headquarters prompting the Green Trashcan to gather the BLA for battle. After Green Trashcan out, Thore agreed that Mr. Fantabulous should be replaced as leader.

When the two groups begin to battle it out, Thore mentions how tired he is of swinging his hammer and was shown fighting Aquariuman.

However before the battle could continue, the respective union presidents of each team arrive to tell them the strike is over due the US President and the Comics Code declaring the strike unethical.

Power and Abilities[]

Thore presumably has all the abilities of the mythological Norse god of thunder, Thor. However instead of wielding a hammer that resembles Mjölnir, Thore's hammer looks like a regular hammer from a hardware store and instead of viking helmet he wears a coonskin hat.

Public Domain Appearances[]

  • Go-Go Comics #6

Notes[]

  • The characters are an obvious spoof of Marvel's Thor.
  • The Marvelous Heroes are in the public domain thanks to a lack of a proper copyright notice (any work published without one between 1923 and 1977 immediately entered the public domain).
