Origin[]
Three Bears (Papa Bear, Mama Bear, & Baby Bear) are a family of Italian bears in the 1939 Terrytoons animated cartoon The Three Bears created by Paul Terry, which is an adaptation of the classic English fairy tale.
The bears are a family of Italian bears who eat spaghetti instead of porridge, & they have different personalities. Papa Bear is grouchy & easily annoyed, but is also very over-the-top with his mannerisms & actions, & deep down he does have a heart. Mama Bear is more reasonable & protective of Baby Bear, even going so far as to tell Papa Bear to "shut a your face!" Baby Bear is quite mischievous, & would rather play than practice the violin.
The parent bears are Italian-accent immigrants who eat spaghetti instead of porridge and they go out to argue about why the baby bear (who has an American accent; guess he was born or grew up here) doesn't practice his fiddle (tho as it turns out he's pretty good on the trumpet, trombone, and drums).
After they discover Goldilocks in their house, at first papa bear tells her to go home, but she is quick to win then over with her violin playing, & she even helps save them from a hunter and his dog.
Like other variations of the classic fairy tale, they are a family of talking Three Bears who live in the woods, & one day their house is broken into by a little girl named Goldilocks, who eats their food, breaks a chair, & sleeps in one of their beds.
