When Pokey comes over to find Gumby doing chores, he suggests using robots to do them instead. Pokey takes Gumby for a ride on his back and brings him through Toyland find toy robots. They load them in a pickup truck and drive them over to Gumby's house. Once they're all set up and doing the yardwork, Gumby and Pokey go into the house to have some milk and crackers. Things go smoothly until the robots begin wrecking the house and the yard. Gumba calls Gumbo at the fire department for help, and they all work together to stop the robots' mayhem, and then Gumby has to go back to doing chores by himself.

- The Gumby cartoon, Robot Rumpus, fell into the public domain due to a lack of renewal.
- Mystery Science Theater 3000 featured the early 1960s cutdown of this Robot Rumpus (focusing on the second half) in "The Screaming Skull" in 1999, with its' original soundtrack intact.
