Origin[]
The Ugly Man was a carnival freak who was billed as the "Ugliest Man in the World." He was unable to continue taking the jeers and laughter of the crowd, deciding to take revenge on those who mocked him. The Hangman tried to lead him away from the path of revenge, but the Ugly Man had lost his sanity and refused to listen.
Inevitably, Hangman and the Ugly Man fight. The villain attempted to flee into the Hall of Mirrors, but died when he tried to dive through the mirrors. The tale ends ironically as the Hangman remarks, "Ugly Man learned too late that you can’t take the law into your own hands."
