Origin
Van Crawford, Sr. was not proud of his son's stamp and puppet collection nor his exotic plants nor bird-watching hobbies. He wanted his son to either be an explorer, join the Peace Corps., or become an astronaut. He was completely unaware that his son was secretly Fatman the Human Flying Saucer.
